Hello,

Me and my girlfriend got the idea to try and make a DisneyLike adventure (read an adventure looking like for example King's quest 7). First I started scripting the userinterface (entertaining job to do).

Then we started on our first background images. After reading some tutorials on shading and things we got the idea and produced some backgrounds that would comply with our goal.

Please tell me what you think of them. Any suggestions/critics are welcome.

Damn, that's cute. Nice work!
At a first glance I'd say the sky is too empty. Maybe add some clouds or a *very* subtle gradient. The blue fill colour is just a little bit too strong.

Wow, the first one looks great. The perspective on it is a little quirky, but that makes it unique. The black and purple are extreamly bright. The curtains would be fine just a little duller. I would chage the black o maybe a dark grey with just a touch of red. The second one is nice too, however the angle isnt as nice as the first.

The outside images look nice. But the places where the sky meets the trees and where the grass meets the ground arnt antialiased (sp?). Clean those up and you should be good.

Synthetique

Why you little..!! The last one is lookin a bit dull when you look at it with both eyes. Seems a bit flat.

Oh, but the beauty of the first ones.. The colours..
Pink stuff hangin around the windows.. What do u call em? Cloth-thingies..something. Nice.. Very nice art.
Them bushes really got that disney-look n all..

My eye spots some black outlines tho.. Hmm..

Keep it up Annemarie and Maikel..

I love the style. You might want to add clouds though.  8)
