I've been trying to come up with a logo for my development 'company' Predator Productions for quite some time now. Strangely enough, inspiration struck me when I was testing out my new flashlight. How you ask? Let me enlighten you...

Yes I know, that was a very bad pun. :

On the shelf above my computer I have a Boba Fett statue. I shone my flashlight in his general direction, and the silhouette on the wall combined with the light looked pretty cool. Since the company name is based off my nickname, which is based off the infamous Predator, instead of Boba I wanted a Predator silhouette. A quick Google search turned up a great pose on an action figure, which evolved into this silhouette:

Maybe it could be a little more simplified. What do you think?

Maybe you should add colour?

I've added red to the background and blurred it.
The edges around the predator and the box look weird. I made it a bit to fast.

The same without the blur.

I would suspect the predator concept is protected by copyright and trademark laws, so you shouldn't expect to be able to use this image in any commerical purpose. Nice idea though, good work.

It's good, but I have some suggestions to make it better.

1. Don't use so many different shades of gray. Just imagine if you were to have a real company and you had to print this on every document you produce.

2. Break the design into a more creative and designy logo. I would definately lose the lower body and the black borders. I would use borders, but make them more innovative.

3. Color is always a plus. A red-hued design would be marvelous. Dark red, white and black go together incredibly well. But this reinforces the point about the number of colors. You can have shades, but make it as simple and recognizable as you can.

I'd say think something communist-style and socialist realist design.

Thanks for the tips! Here's a quick brainstorm

Haven't been able to find a good replacement for the Predator yet. Since I want to make a deluxe version of my game available for a small fee, taking the Predator as mascotte indeed isn't exactly smart.

I think it needs to be smaller, and focus in on only a part of the predator's head, rather than the entire silhouette. You could have an animated logo that starts out with a full predator but the final image of your logo needs to be a stylized zoomed in image on the head, in my opinion. And you should incorporate the name into the image. Your newer image looks better than your last image, but doesn't look like it would be good for a logo for the reasons above

I'm probably not gonna go with the Predator, so this is just a quick layout idea I thought up just now. And abviously the logo will be smaller once it's done, this is just to see it clearly and detailed.

I'll keep working on it.

On account of the other comments, yeah, there is *something* that could make it much better... And the copyright has to be taken into account...

I don't know how, but somehow my mind incorporated the logo with this image I drew ages ago: http://koti.mbnet.fi/tk-/img/monsty.png ... I was probably thinking that maybe you could draw some sort of predator yourself?

I actually liked the original style alot-the black and white, boxed thing. I think you should work on that. Make the box square. You'll probably have to change the guy. You could make it some type of predator animal, I suppose

Okay that looks a bit weird but the flashlight effect is totally wrong. The center circle should be lightest, not darkest. Or its just not the flashlight effect that Largopredator used.

Brat, in my opinion that was unneeded, the thought of being helpful is ok, but you really contributed nothing to this... The idea of drawing something of his own was already on the air.

Okay, first off nice logo.Ã,Â

I did my own version for you to have a look at...

I made it into an oval sort of shape to give it some difference between the old version.
You may want to take this idea and change the oval into a snake's eye or an eye of a reptile of some sort with the silhouette of the Predator inside...
Just an idea. Good Luck.
