The first three hardly need crits. They're perfect!
The fourth just looks like a posterised photo. I don't see the point.

The last one, though, me likey! It looks like an old spectrum screenshot, from Mugsy or something. I'd love to see a game in this style.

Yeah, I like the last one, too... the contrast is great and someone should make a game with backgrounds like that.

I'm already making something with backgrounds in that style. I've done a ton of images and got a fair bit of story done but i dont have anywhere near as much free time as i used to.

Doesn't really make much sense to me either. I wasnt on the most steady of minds when i drew that anyway.

The drawings are cool. Especially the little guy with that big round head is awesome!

I have problems seeing how the photo-background will work in a game, though. I'd advice anyone to avoid those kinds of backgrounds like the plague, but I guess I'd need to see the game before making more comments.

i was thinking along those lines for the character, keeping him totally black for that room.

i'll update with the extended version of that b+w street tommorow, it's for a visual basic shooter im programming in class.
