I'm sorry, I meant: Girl composed in Flash.... and its a little girl, you perv.Ã,  :P

Anyways, any comments on this character. I have the first rendition, which I don't really want crits on, but the second one would be great.

First one, done with the pen tool with my wacom awhile back. This will be a good example as to why better art is not only done with a tablet. (If you agree)

And after following a tutorial, I brought her to a whole new level.

Anything to say? I'm pretty happy with her.  This is going to be used in a little thing for ScubaChic, kinda like others here who have done games for their ladies.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Kinoko

Wow, what an improvement ^_^ Looks great! I like the style. Only crit - she has no legs!! MY GOD!

Oliver

Perfect!!
Exept for the legs and I think she should have some fingers. Not just something that looks like a wood plate. ;)
You got it!

Coming Soon!

Andrew

Kinoko and Oliver, Scumm is probably aware of the legs. I think he just left them out going though with the tutorial.

Great work Scumm! Just try to get the arm a bit longer. Her hand should go past her jersey, I think.
(BTW. Thank for the help with my BG in the danger competition!)

Arboris

Nice work, that really is an improvement. And I must agree with andrew, her hands should go past her jersey.

On another note, what tutorial did you follow? I would like to check it myself if you wouldn't mind.

Concept shooter. Demo version 1.05

Oz

Very nice! Let's see some backgrounds in the same style.
Diversity is divine!

i like what you did with the ear there. and yeah, i knew that the shading in the hair was not that visible... and you did a nice job. I will probably go with your additions. Thank you.

heres the link to the tutorial: http://macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flash/articles/animate_character.html

okay, so i did some changes, mostly based on loominous ideas.
also, andrew, thanks for the idea to lengthen her arm, i suppose it does help.

Next up will be the finishing up of her limbs, and then an animation test. Thanks all.

How does everyone feel about her right arm (the one not pictured) the area looks a bit odd. It's almost like theres not enough room to put the arm, because it would drape down, but then it looks odd. I'll probably just try and tail back some of her shoulder towards the center, and then see how it looks.Ã,  And I'll probably go with the sketches' stlye of eyes. Not the large blue ones.

I did some updates. I kinda like the hands though, they are kinda stylistic. I do plan on having a close up of the palm of her hand later in the animation, which wouldn't be "wooden planks"Ã,  ;)

Kweepa

I think it would be better without the really heavy black line around her face - thinned out would be good I think.
It creates a disjoint between her face and her hair and also makes her head look like a button or a casserole dish.
Beautiful work! I love the hands.
