What do you think of this character?

I like the sprite, I really do! It has a lot of personality. :) But it also had a lot a flaws.

You should watch out for double pixelling. It makes the sprite look messy. Also you should add more contrast between the color of the outlines and the fill color. Right now all the colors seem to blend into each other.

And the black outline for the eyes make him look very weird. :P

I made a paintover to show you what I mean. I modified the colors and removed all double pixels. Hope it'll help you. :)

you could also make a more realistic look with adding shades but the other look is also quite good.

I can see a big improvement there, cat.

With the shaded version, the light would always have to be on the right side.

What program did you use to make it with?

I used photoshop. I think I will not use the shaded version although it looks very good. However, all my backgrounds will be in some comic-style and the shaded version would not fit.
