I believe that's a phone.

I'm blind.  :-[

Actually, I couldn't see it with the low amount of contrast before I moved my head closer to the screen. For blind, sexy idiots like me, you may want to up the contrast of the parts of the phone a little more.

Here's a new version with fixed shadows, lightened up the phone and made the background color of the paintings lighter to make them stand out less.

Oops, I forgot the shadows of the candles of the table. Don't worry, I'll fix those.

Hey Mats
Overall layout looks good, but there is still something weird about the turn of the wall at the left. Other than that, people don't usually hang paintings below eye level, so the frog and the menu look a bit odd. Also, a luxury restaraunt will usually have live entertainment, (or no music if the manager is a fanatic about people concentrating on their food)

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

The wall IS suppoused to turn to the left because it's a big room (which you off course can't see).

That is no frog! That's a crocodile. Don't you read what I write? Sorry about that but I feel so harmed when people doesn't see what things actually are especially if the character I have been with ever since I was a seven year old kid.

Haven't you seen the Blues Brothers (the original, not 2000)? At the Chez Paul resturant there was fiddle/violin music but no one played at that scene. Besides there is a point in the game that there are just ONE employee in that place but if explained it here it would ruin the surprise.

I think it looks very good, Mats, and the wall at the left is ok - the corner doesn't seem to be at an angle of 90 degrees, but that is not so unusual.

There are som small perspective problems here and there, but no big deal, not with this style.

But it seems as if something strange happened to the carpet in the last edit - some blue, red and yellow pixels. It looks really good at the upper right. If you kept the carpet and the shadows on separate layers, it should be a quick thing to fix.

Oh and the portraits are great - some amusing characters you've got there! Keep it up!

DontTreadOnMe

Wow... those are some amazing improvements, it looks a lot more alive now, more believable. I don't think it needs the drapes or it would look to crowded. The portraits fit in perfectly, but i agree with Babar about the height of the crocodile (i read what you write souds reli interesting and alive, this room matches that). The menu is fine where it is but the croc is a bit low, maybe you could find somewhere else for him. A celebrity like this cant be left out of the wall of fame, and if you are planning to use him in the next game then people will remember him.
You could put him round the corner, but that might make him too un-noticed, otherwise you could put him above the kitchen door and put the sign onto the door, but im not so fond of that idea either, maybe you should leave him where he is, it looks fine.
Those yellow/blue/green pixels need sorting, but other than that its really looking great!

Keep up the good work, ill be following this project - Rich
Seeing as I really shouldn't have to get up at such an ungodly hour as 7am, ill put my watch forward by 5 hours to make me feel better...

Yeah, I know. It happened when I remade the shadows in paint which meant I had to paint over the carpet with the color that was before the noise but it seemed like that I didn't blend in the right light in the maroon color and therefore it's been a bit blue and yellow pixels (after adding the noise).
Well, I didn't use Photoshop to remake the shadows because the line tool is stupid compaired with the one in paint (I wish the lines in Photoshop aren't as trasparent as it is but solid like paint).

DontTreadOnMe: Thanks for the comments. Maybe an alternitive idea for the painting is to switch the Crocis paiting with one of the guys above him.

Only one thing to add right now:
The tables are a bit off, they look like everything being put onto them would fall off towards the camera, 2d-speaking: flatten the ellipses even more.
You did it right with the bottle holder, as we can barely see inside.

Personally, I don't like the floor. I think you should recreate it using two colors so it fits the other untextured elements of the background. If you're going to stick with it, I would suggest bringing the noise level down since there are some weird green, yellow and blue pixels on the floor texture, like DontTreadOnMe already pointed out.

Try setting up your lines in PS like this:
