Music video (follow the score) feedback and critisism required please

So...

As per usual, I come in need of advice and help...

The deal is this: I want to create videos of 'music with score' (in youtube, you hear a classical work being performed and you watch the score as well...).

In 95% of the cases it's a still score (images pasted together one after the other at approximately the correct timing). Examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCu0a_fLaPA and www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZnhhFwDLiA&

Sometimes there is some movement going on (which again follows the score). Either with a cursor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHSLaV4K_Tw), or a moving score (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kotK9FNEYU) or perhaps even some animated score (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv1jLyD4Pv8)

I want thus, to find some interesting ways of showing the score, with some kind of 'follow the score' indication, but at the same time make it more... interesting. I decided to just offer the score, but it feels really empty... So then I decided to do something with the still images of my scores and start distorting various parts, and fade them in and out... I think that this sucks as well, but perhaps it's towards the right way...

I do want feedback, but I'm also looking for other ideas on what I could do with still images (everything you see on the screen are PNGs basically that I have devided into 2 parts and toy around with each part, fading them in and out. So it's not 'real animation'). I can't really begin to think what I could have in such a video with such a music, but I would like to see such a music dressed up with a little more 'pop culture' ideas (not in terms of aesthetics alone, but mostly in terms of editing and production techiques)...

Heh... I think I'm asking for quite a lot here, but it's worth a try...
