I just got a new drawing program called Graphic Gale. Ive used mspaint for all my pixilated drawings in the past but im definitely going to switch to Graphic Gale. It has a lot more functions than mspaint with an easy to use interface. The first thing I drew with it is this action game sprite. I used the mega man sprite as a reference for the stance and the walk animation. What do you think? I really like the bubbles in his helmet/fish tank. I would really like to make this flawless so if you have any recommendations please tell me. Oh ya and that gray thing is a skull spine combo. I was originally going to have it floating in the tank but I thought it would be really hard to pull off.

Looks great!
He kinda reminds me of Mysterio (an enemy of spiderman (http://www.spideydude.com/mysterio5.jpg))
By the time you read this you've already read it.

Hey Morgan, this is some very good stuff and can remain that way.

If you want some tips tho, read on.

Your colours are unussual, but I like it, looks almost like colour crayons and it gives the character personality.

What can be improved is shading. As it is the sprite looks a bit flat mostly because lightsource is not respected. You should choose where the light is coming from and respect it. It's mostly the hands.

I did a quick edit to show what I mean:

Also I would suggest to stick to one kind of outline. The upper body has colour outlines while the lower part has a solid black one. I didn't do anything with this in my edit but I recommend you to choose one style.

As for animations, they are neat, nothing to comment on. Maybe putting in a few more inbetween frames wouldn't hurt the anim. But it's just a nitpick.

Bubbles in tank are cool but you should make them more visible, try to use lighter shade, maybe even absolute white for bubbles highlights.

Very good job, don't hesitate and show us more.

sedriss: I also thought he looked a little like mysterio.

Jazz: I think you edit looks good but I want it to be simpler like a nes game or maybe slightly better nes/snes. I replaced the black out lines with color ones but it wasnt that noticeable and I didnt want to go threw all the frames and change it so im just going to leave it the way it is. Oh by the way, is your name "Jaz" stand for the music Jaz or Jaz from Transformers or something else?

Hear is a mutated person/monster. Im not to thrilled about either animation but I think the sprite itself is pretty good.

If you want that "simple" look, stay away from blurred swipes, like in your 'otherwise fine) enemy sprite above. Also because you'll have problems with the alpha, trying to make it look good overlaid (overlayed?) on a background.

Albino-I

Heh. I love the little fella. He's so cute  ;D

And I think the animations are as simple as they'r supposed to look like.

Hey,the monster sprite looks very good. Can't comment on animation since i'm browsing on cellphone but the sprite is simple yet detailed and well coloured. Btw:jaz is abbreviation of my real name and doesn't stand for anything else ;-)

Gale is ace,
And those animations are really good, and look really SNESy.
