Ok, so it isn't much, but as I said, it's a first attempt. I've found a problem, though - the color depth. Is there any way of converting 24-bit to 16-bit without losing much of the quality?

i did an index colour in PS, to 8bit and it looked perfectly fine :p
Renaming a file to .jpg doesn't magically convert it. It's a .bmp.
Custard, I'm sorry, but could you please speak English? ;)
He is saying that it takes 4 minutes to download the image cause its still a bitmap
Right, hang on then...
Here, properly JPG,

256 colours ._ .
Custard, could you explain to me HOW you did that? :o
got photoshop?
Gotcha point. Thanks a HELL of a lot, that's a great roadblock out of the way! I'll remember this!
You don't NEED photoshop; paint shop pro will do fine, or even the freeware GIMP: http://www.gimp.org
Actually, the color reduction in Photoshop is much better than in Paint Shop Pro. I'm not sure about Gimp..
