Hey all.. I started sketching on this room.
Took me about 3 seconds to do it so it doesn't look very good right now.

::EDIT::
ok here's some colour in it.. i'll use these exact colours..

::NEW EDIT::

Dang if you can draw those many lines in 3 seconds.. you must be SuperMan or Flash!!!
I like the sketchy middle one much better than the 3rd one.
heheh.. i was exaggerating a bit!
i liked the second one better too.. but it wont fit the game's stye.. i think,.
ok here's another small update...
i'm thinking of moving the table up and right a bit..
Could you give some more information about this room? Is it a control room, the bridge of a spaceship, etc?
The wooden table looks a bit weird in a futuristic setting, but maybe that's the point I don't know ;D
This image will look great when it's finished, I'd love to see more detail in it.

Nice space-quest style. Now for the criticism: The room looks kinda empty; ad some more consoles and computers.
Fantastic style! Once you got rid of the darker coloured outlines it gave it a much nicer look for the style youve gone for , just watch out for perspective issues for example when you move the table , and i think bottom step on the far door needs to look better perspective wise by like 1 or 2 pixels
thanks all..
MrMasse: Yeah. I'll do a new sketch to add more stuff...
Erwin_Br: It's the room where they communicate to other ships..
Got any suggestions on what i should add? Specifically that is..
wow it looks great
It looks great as usual, but I don't really get that "spaceship" -feeling. Looks more like a room in an office building. I suggest adding some more detail to the walls, pipes and girders, bolts and stuff. And you could make the windows curve outwards or something. I also think it's the red carpetting (!) on the floor that is a problem. I think some metal plates or grating would fit better. Good reference to look for = the bridge of the Star Destroyer as seen in the Empire Strikes Back.
Quick edit to show what I mean.

Other than that: What code do you use to show the image in double size in Internet Explorer?
wow xadhoom, that rox even more
hey that's cool! i'll start rite away.. thank you xad

a tiny update...
Holy Crap, Xadhoom!!! You call that a quick edit? That's awesome!
Synthetique, I love your drawings. This is for the purple alien game, right? The half eaten food on the table is really good, it gives personality to the room. And I really like the shadows under the floaty chairs- before I had thought they were cushions on the floor. Great great job!
how long did it take you? in hours or weeks ^^
Xadhoom thats a great edit! The sloping walls make a huge difference. Maybe cos you would expect spaceships to have curved/sloped walls while normal rooms would be rectangular. The middle lights fill it up nicely too.
Synth you should adopt the sloping walls for sure! aLSO, if you chop off the table legs you will find it gives it a more futuristic lok, maybe even makes it look like a teleport pod. I Like the messy food.
Yep synth, the sloped walls add so much to the room....I recomend you try it...
the people has spoken... ;)

new small update... what do you think? look at the far wall and tell me what's wrong/rite..
fabtastic BG! concerning the far wall: those two airduct covers look more like speakers this way (or are they?). I'd expect airduct covers to be horizontal (instead of the upright version you have here), up against the ceiling. But maybe I'm just anal, I don't know :)
Great artwork!
they're speakers :)
;D ok, forget I ever said anything. They can throw one hell of a dance event in there however, with such a sound system!
Looking much better now. I'd agree that the table could use some futuristicizing.
Perhaps an oval shaped mini bar type table?
Looks great! I really like the metal-with-rivets stuff you put on the back wall.
It seems the perspective is a little weid on the sloping area above the windows...the slope changes. It's okay if you made it to make the perspective seem a little more interesting, but you've overdone it abit I think. Great work otherwise.
There's a red dot on the door-post. Thats wrong. Or?
VERY good! :o
Except I agree about the table.
maybe you could make it made out of metal instead of wood or whatever that is.
And if the seats are hovering, why not have the table hover as well? (after all - you have the technology, and a hovering table could be a great puzzle item) :)
wow the final image looks really cool! it has atmosphere, which is
good :)
i cant realy see anything wrong with the back wall, it looks great!!

Pretty cool to see how it turned out.
Wow! That looks great. All I can suggest is make the table just a flat piece of metal that floats (like the chairs) and maybe with a contol panel on it. And also I think some more control panels joining up with the one by the window.
Other than that it looks great. ;D
I think space looks too staticy/ complex in the new drawing. I would suggest calming it down to a more soothing infinity.
Great pic, and I'll tell you the small error on the back wall: It's the perspective. It's hard to catch on the eraly pictures but with the tiled floor you can see that the perspective on the controlpanel is not quite right.
There's still a red dot on the doorpost!!!
the red dot is still a perspective point
Very good improvements.
