Heres a little piece of concept art from my next scheduled game (after fry 2)...
Okay, so I copped out on the sky, and got a little crazy with the highlights on the roof, but besides that...whattaya think? Does this style work?
I plan on having some more stuff going on in the completed real bg, like more ruins and junk and crap...So, Anyway, I would love for any opinions on this...
and heres a simple alien concept pic...

somehow I prefer your pixelart squinky :)
Thanks for the comment man....I don't know though, I really like this style...
Dosen't seem to peak anybodys interests though...
Kick butt character man!
This is a great style, but I also like your lower res stuff better. I'm not saying this is bad though, I just prefer low res in general.
I agree in the way that I preffer low-res, because it´s easier to work with it. BTW, I´m not happy about the ruins on the first pic, you should make it more clear. All the rest is ok for me, in a very Squinky style.
heh don't get me wrong squink,
your art rox,
but I've seen much better vector art from you than this to be honest :)
those pics rock, your art is great! keep it up!
( ( ( <( -_-)> ) ) )
Great fantasy/sci-fi scene! The alien would fall if it is walking but if its leaning against a wall then its perfect,
Thanks guys, and yeah the alien guy is in a leaning pose....
ROCK ON!!
I love the second one with the alien. I also like the first one, what I like best is the building, nice shading, it's cool.
My suggestion for the game. From what I've read, it's definately a SQUiNKY game, it's gonna' have the humor and all the wierd predicaments that you'd expect. So, looking back at your first was it Sancho? Yes, I think it was.. anyway, if you did the whole game in that cartoony/futuristic/ruinish pirates world that you created in that pic, than it would fit the game better. (pic shown below)

So if you did the whole game in this style, I really think it would fit the game's atmosphere a lot better
--EDIT--
I LOVE that building in the back!
Oh, and I replied to your thread a while back, don't know if you saw it or not...regarding that woman one you did I think it was...
