Well, um... I have no idea why I made this background... and I didn't have any idea as to what I wanted... but, here it is. I've never done a background in this style before, with just flat colours, as I always tend to add some sort of texture to it... anyway... C&C if you please. :)

edit: Odd... I dont remember using any gradients on this background... hmm. :-\

edit: Okay, I've added a little bus sign on the left, which is a way I could probably fill that side in a game... by having a character stand there, waiting for the bus, and you need to do some puzzle or something.

Looks good, it just seems like the stripes at the road is out of perspective just a little bit? It also seem a litte empty, maybe add a tree or a moon there? Else from that, this looks really good.

LordHart

Holy shit that was quick! :o

Sorry it took so long, I had to type with one hand.

The mountains look a little too low to have snow on them. The perspective makes it seem you're higher up/on the same level than them

That looks cool! Mountains look too pointy, and shade 'em a little.

Love the shack.

LordHart

Yeh, I started the mountains first and I thought to just make them look lame, so I thought pointy and with snow. :P

Jayel

Nice!  the window could be lowered a little though.

Sweet, but since you've gone for the palletized/solid-color look, I feel I must say that the radial gradient/fade by the door's entry should be reduced to 2-3 colors. Also, it looks kinda odd that you've added this slight dark nebulaish thing in the background, which seems pretty detailed, when you've got so little detail on things that are bright, such as the mountains. The lighting is a bit too bright to be at night, too. Except for the sky, there's really nothing that even suggests it's at that time of day (add a lamppost or something). Give it more contrast and make it darker (the shed probably works as it is though).

Just a fast, crappy paintover:
