Well, he's rather big. Most AGS charcters average about 100 pixels tall, depending on the resolution of your game. You're off to the right start, you just need more practice.

looks fine for a start. Id suggest though that you pay more attention to his arms being equally long. That's a basic attribute to all human, and certainly makes it more practical.

Then the shoes... even I wouldn't wear shoes coloured like that. I suggest you try some more conservative colour ie black or brown.
