No one is allowed to question igor's bg abilities, for he is the creator of the late ignac, a game with basically unrivaled bg art.

And igor, I sometimes frequent your portfolio to look for updates, but there rarely are any, although you seem to be up to something all the time. Do you have a sketchblog or something? Also, there are some broken links in your site. In addition, the links to the different parts of the site at the bottom don't seem to work.

Oh, and I think I spotted you posting on a thread at the Computer Arts forum.

I hope I didn't sound like I was questioning your abilities, as ildu suggested I was just interested as to why you often chose characters over backgrounds. Those images look amazing, but it's interesting to me that you find background work more boring. From an outside perspective those backdrops are far from boring!

Ali- no of course not, not at all!

It was interesting because i realized i almost didn't do background-only drawing in a 2 year period.
Don't get me wrong, i love to look at background designs, i just don't like to draw them myself.

MashPotato- haha, it's not backgrounds i find boring, but the process of drawing them

Everyone's allowed to do that. As long as they provide some sort of back-up arguments or constructive c&c. This is the critics lounge, not a personal fansite.

Wow, your drawings have immense character. As for the backgrounds, they look awesome, but I do understand your hatred for the process especially with complex forest scenes etc.

I have checked out the ignac demo (i think I downloaded the demo) and I thought DOTT had the bestest of best cartoony bgs, but ignac does not stand second to it
