Well, in last few weeks I am doing different textures for my 3D modelling. Last night I came out with this one. I have only one problem. Does this look like sand at all? C&C please...

looks like some kinda carpet to me, if put on a 3d object, it may look like sand

Try making it a bit lighter.

It looks like damp (wet) sand to me...

It will look like sand, once you've altered the colour and brightness. I'd suggest getting a photo reference for that. And don't forget the effect of lighting in your scene.

Raise the brightness, and lower the saturation, and it should look more like sand.
