C&C on new Darksiders BG

Ok a while ago, I mentioned I was restarting Darksiders.
After messing around with a nice story, i decided to redo the room that started it all.
Idalo's Office Before(old ingame):

And now, the new one, (not ingame):

You may also realise, I've made the resolution smaller.

I never playd the original so I can't really comment, but the second one looks nice. You have done the lighting really well.

The light from the door is a bit much though. It looks like god's behind there.

I never finished the "original" due to some GUI problems.

I like it a lot, as Frisby said there is too much light coming under the door... And maybe the light coming from the lamp should be more a pool of light rather than the harsh beam it is now.

Top notch overall though.

Well, the game is set in the afterlife, so you never know.....
Glad to see this is back in production, especially looking so good, but I agree that the light sources are a bit extreme. Nice and atmospheric in small doses, but could get annoying if the whole game is like that.

And, Scousers are not fat bastards. We're just bloated through lager retention.

Ok, I admit its a bit bright, I've also stepped up the resolution a bit cos I can have all the detail on the Characters at 320x200.Ã,Â But anyway, the reason for the Darkness is because its from the story (written by me) that I'm basing it on:

"...and eyes as dark as his office since the main light blew 2 months ago..."

I figured, if the technicians refuse to go near his office, they'll never fix his broken light.Ã,Â I'll post the redone ver soon.

EDIT- the first extract was wrong.

I stepped the res back up again, I've resized everything on the old BG in REAL Draw so Im at 640x480 now. And Im staying at it!!

The original was going to be by Clueless3, but never got finished. These are just remade backgrounds. Very nice ones at that.
