Title: Door Colors and Misc Tips Needed
Post by: ashmc2 on Mon 01/02/2010 05:45:31
Are my colors right for the angles?

How do I get the door to OK on side wall?

Any other ideas are welcome.

That depends on where the light source is. In a room like this, I'd assume it's in the center of the ceiling.
The current lighting is off no matter where it is though.

The biggest problem right now: you've posted a .jpg. Use .gif or .png.
(If photobucket turned it into a jpg, you've probably uploaded a bmp. That's the worst format of them all. If you're using pain(t) and can't save the pic as png, get a decent paint program first, e.g. GIMP.)

OK, I added the light overhead and I think I have the shading down now.

Any help moving this door to a 45 degree wall in paint.net would get many thanks.

I couldn't help with the colours as I suck in shading.

Here is how I would draw the door on a side wall:

I think it's quite self-explanatory so I'm just lazy to explain in detail. Note that I decided not to spend too much time to match the details accurately and I'd just take some liberty on stuff. The result can be further fine-tuned with pixel editing.
