Here it is.

I personally like the guitar alot. I have no idea what I could use it for, mind.

My last MIDI post went practically unnoticed. Sure, I don't have the rep that m0ds does (thoroughly well-earned, too, don't get me wrong), but having people listen to something 5 damn kilobytes large and making a comment on it is surely not asking the world.

Sluggo

I like it a lot. It sounds a lot like Gabriel Knight music. What's this music for? It would be appropriate as background music in an ethnic setting.

Remco

I like the music, but since i don't know anything about music making i didn't replied to that other topic, but i heard that one aswell and i liked that one aswell. Keep up the good work!

lo_res_man

I REALLY agree sluggo, definite ethnic setting. I dont know why but it reminds me of some "age of empires" music. wonderful sound. a slightly tense piece. use it maybe in some kind of unknown danger, suspishion. scene

Nice midi, here are some suggestions:
-tone down the drum volume a bit,
-I'm not sure what software you used, but if there is some sort of drum kit selection i suggest you to use drum kit 16, at least try different drumkits to see which one fits you best,
-add some more variation to the percussions, instead of creating one beat, and then adding things to it.

Dreben ama Vreden

I must admit that's one helluva good piece. I try to compose MIDIs myself, but they are based on random note combinations, and they rarely get longer than 0:30 and 2 instruments.

Flippy_D

Thanks, Dreban :)

Damien: Ehh... cakewalk v.3, 1992. No drum kit selection for Flippeh :3

Venus

I totally agree to the others. Really nice.

There is just one thing I would change: this "woo"- sound drum beat thingy (hope you'll get what I mean) gets kind of nerve-wracking very quickly imo. Maybe don't use it this often.

Other than that, great piece of music.

Meowster

Jesus Christ, I just did the most retarded thing ever. I spent ten minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't hear the MIDI playing, I checked my MIDI settings, turned up the volume, restarted the PC, checked the cables going in and out of my sound system...

...And then realized the reason I heard nothing was because I was listening to my MP3 Player on full blast with earphones on.

Nice midi. Definitely worth the hassle. Seems to suit a kind of map or something... city overview perhaps?

Flippy_D

You remain a beacon of hope in the darkness, Yufster.

I thank you.

Andail

yeah, that honking-sound is just annoying. Apart from that, it's quite good; a bit bland but still good.

And please don't go demanding that people answer to your threads...if they find it good enough to reply to, they will

Flippy_D

'Tis true. However, my last one was simply... ignored. I think it got something like 50 views  :-\

However, lots of feedback this time, so yay :)

DoorKnobHandle

You got one reply to your last midi and this reply expressed exactly what was to say about your music piece, that's why I didn't post...

EDIT: And it got 250 views not 50... No reason to feel unimportant...
