You know, that first drawing really reminds me of some of Ralph Steadman's illustrations for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Cool stuff.
Hehe, really original...fun fun
Don´t deny it! The second one is heavily ispired in Shaggy, from the Adventures of Scooby Doo!
The style reminds me of Beavis and Butthead. :D

Heehee... I like it - Those are really funny - The first one reminded me of something out of Calvin & Hobbes, actually... :)
Hehe... they remind me of the days the first American underground comix appeared in the shops here. Totally different from the European comics we knew (and loved :)). Of course later we learned they all stole it from Carl Barks ;D
One point of criticism though. In the first one the alignment of the man's mouth and the window-whatever-that-is-in-English is a bit weird. It looks like it is coming out of his mouth.

During Watterson's lesser known acid trip era?

Hehe, well, not really - It's just that you often see Calvin imagining his school teacher as a monster, and that was my first thought when I saw that picture... Just my stupid association skills, I'm afraid... :)
But style-wise it's not very Watterson-like, no. I can agree on that one.
Looking very interesting :)
