I think you should add clouds and more trees.

House and car look really good, but I think the trees should be a bit bigger, unless you are making a game about Bonsais :)  And how about some white stripes on the street? And maybe make the windows a big bigger, but this is just my feeling...

I think the perspective and the proportions are nice. What I didn't like is that it is too bright and "empty"

I really like the style, the only c+c i have is i think it needs some lines on the road. This style would really work, all the objects have to really stand out against the backgrounds but the puzzles have to be really hard (not use key on door style).

i would really like to see a character, i think he needs to be really bland and inanimate. a reasonabley blank face would mean that yuo could show loads of emotion when needed.

Here's one more i made.
It's going to be used in animation when EGO cruises around in his car.

It needs a sky, but i'm not very good at drawing it. Tutorials anyone?

I'm also going to upload a new pic of the house soon.

By the way, I've added clouds to the first picture.

Gord, the clouds you made are great   :), but they're too photorealistic for my crappy cartoony style.

For an outline cloud shape, just make wandering round bumps of randomly varying sizes on top, and leave the bottom mostly flat. If they're good, you should be able to color them green to make a forest on the horizon so that the backyard doesn't look so infinite.

Gord, the clouds you made are great   :),
Thanks :) I can make the clouds easily by using Adobe Photoshop.

Nice clouds! : ) i think the thing that most bothers me is the perfectly horizontal horizon (heh;)), and it has even bigger outlines than the car! ;) you could try to add mountains or something like that, so its not so 'perfect' .
The car animation is great! maybe you could add clouds in that one too.

Yeah, but i screwed up the car animation, I'm gonna have to edit the old one because animated backgrounds can only have  5 frames, and i have 6 of them for car animation.

Or is there a way to import one more?

There's 1 tiny movement to the left (with his head) that looks a little glitchy.

The leg movement looks great to me, as do the hands.

The line where the jacket comes together looks pretty good but the buttons look slightly off too.  Perhaps make them sway back and forth as the torso should be moving back and forth.

Oh ... and perhaps 1 level of shading for hi's and lo's?

Great start!

I agree with Darth; the animation would be much more convincing with some more sway in the buttoned areas. Really though, I think I'm just nitpicking. The animation is certainly good enough to use as is.

Very nice!

I think the walking animation looks really cool! And one thing
about the background: it definately needs something on the horizon.
Perhaps mountains, or just a city skyline (very easy to do and gives a nice
effect)

Actually I was bored, and I decided to add a background... Okay I left out
the clouds, but this is what I cooked up:

Thanks for the critics everyone!

Def: I like your style, i'm definetivly going to add something like that!
I just hope that my clouds will fit in it.

+I added city background in the house picture and corected a glitch in character's movement

I like the shading!  Good job!

Maybe just add a line of dark shading on the inside of his right arm (on our left looking at it) where it crosses in front of his body.

One thing to keep in mind (as many have pointed out in the past):  You have the light source coming from one side ... so in the game if your background(s) doesn't have a light source always on that side it could look a little off.  (Though most probably wouldn't notice ...)

Anyway ... keep 'em coming :)

Head should move a bit when the character walks, it seems a bit weird now, and a bit of shading wouldn't be bad.
