Title: first alien sprite
Post by: on Mon 19/05/2003 18:18:05
hello. Today i drew an alien sprite but, as it is my first, i hope that i can get some help on how i can improve it. The shading and the guys legs in particular are something that i am unsure of. Finally i would have preferred to have hime enlarged but when i do so he becomes blurred and looks even worse. Is this anti alaising?
thanks
fred

I kinda like it :D

You use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to resize? You should uncheck the binare filter or whatever in the resize dialog...

i like it, but im not sure about the feet pointing in opposite directions.
About the resizing thing, you can make it with the yabb code, you could write, if your sprite is 60x40 pixels: [ img width=120 height=80]http://yoururl.com/yousprite.gif[/img ] (without the spaces in the img tag) And you´ll get the sprite at double size, keep the image file size small, and get no antialiasing. :)

Thats a very interesting design. The pose is great, and the feet in opposite direction make it look like he's just turned. I love it!
