Hey guys, ain't been here in awhile. Anyways, I've drawn a pirate sprite and need some feedback. It's supposed to be a pirate type character for a game I'm working on. Sorry for the darkness of it, PNG makes images darker so it's harder to pick up details such as the shading. If you need to, take the images into Paint or any other tool you use and check from there. Anyways, here it is:

I'm impressed with how things are going right now over here. I ain't been here in many months although I did make a one off post in December. All the art seems alot better, I haven't seen a bad piece yet. Darth Mandarb has definately got better since I was last here (I was last here when he was working on that star wars game... I think that's what it was. He's awesome now).

C+C is cool by me. :D

Anyways, yeah... We are still doing character designs and I made this and thought it would be a good villain. But now I'm unsure if it would be better as the hero. He loves your mom too. XD

I was just looking through a lot of my old posts and I saw some stuff by you and thought, "Haven't seen him around in awhile?"

Now here you are!

Good looking sprites!  I remember the bottom two and the new pirate sprite looks great.

Hehe. It's great to be back and I'll probably stick around for awhile. Although I'll need to create a custom sig & avvy for the AGS forums (Since I'm used to be massive things). Just so you know, I'm still crap at animating so I'll probably post for help soon.

I'm really impressed with your spriting though, I haven't seen any of your background art but it was good enough last year. You've really took the time to improve and I remember the days at AGS when I used to just come to this particular forum to post loads of sprites. My style has improved alot so I think I might be of some use to some newcomers. That, and the guys at the Gaming World forums are harsh and lazy. :P

I just checked your profile and noticed the website, twin-design. I might check out that when its back up.

You can use the gun sprite, I guess. It'd be great if I could get credit for it though.

EDIT: And for the benefit of newcomers, the 3 templates at the top I used to make my sprite are free to use. Although again, I'd prefer if I got some sort of credit but I don't mind if you don't.

Ok, bumpity bump. Just gonna post an idea I've got for a game I'm considering making.

The game is based around wrestling, your in the main event of WrestleMania but you are late to work, so you get a bunch of missions (Which might either be random or based on your character). You finally make it to the show and into the match, I might add some basic moves or just make it a short cutscene. Complete with music and intros.

And I need some advice on how to improve the other sprites.

Awesome sprites Jeff, especially that bad guy, for some reason though, he reminds me of the Kurrgan from Highlander. :P

Anyway, me and Woz noticed F1 is dead... working on any other site?

The site isn't dead. When I can I'll restore the MySQL DBs for it. Right now, I'm busy with http://www.shimastudios.tk though. Oh, and I just realised I've actually been here sine around January-Febuary 2003 since I digged up one of my really old accounts (Solid Raven, the website in his profile was UHQ Network XD).
