- looks much better than that background you posted before, in fact I find the design and the look rather cool
- you should clean it up a bit, especially if you're going for the pixel art look, in any case it'll be hard to animate the way it is now - pixels jump outside the edge and the edge itself is rather messy and uneven
- when you have an opportunity for a silhouette, you should use it - for example the sword could be positioned differently (or longer so it breaks the outline) and it would be better if the left part of the bottom of the cape wasn't forming a straight line following the hand (move the left edge of the cape a bit to the right so the line is broken)
- the effect of texture looks good as a sketch but, again, you'll have trouble animating this
- the hole for the eyes are really uneven and not really of any shape for a helmet
