I feel "done" with this, as I've left it and come back to it a few times, but I'm sure there's something here I need to work on. Color is my main concern, as I have a hell of a time picking a pallette.

I also had a little trouble with the eyes. I could be imagining it.

Nice to see a unique and interesting character design.

Here's a few little changes you could consider. I did this ultra quick so it's a bit sloppy:

- Gave him more of a forehead, his face looked too long to me. All I did was drag the eyes and eyebrows down a bit.
- Changed skin from earthworm pink to a more tanned look. Used only 3 shades because I'm short on time ;).
- Adjusted lighting from side on to top down.

Hopefully this might help you out a bit :).

First, I laughed my head off when I saw the file name. Everyone to walk in the room while I was working on this had to ask if it was Jesus. =]

More to the point, I tried to match your colors instead of just using them from yours, and I'm fairly pleased with my results. Thanks, cause I have a lot of problems with that.

Taking into account everything, except the lighting (which I did change, just not quite like yours), I have this.

You should lower the eyes quite a bit still. They're usually close to the middle of the face. I think that's the most important change in Ben's paintover. You can also bring the hairline down a bit if the resulting high forehead bothers you.

I lowered the eys more. I tried taking them even lower, but he began to look like sloth from the goonies. When I adjusted his other features to match, he started looking more like Ben's image, which kind of lost the hippie look I needed.

EDIT : To tube, I didn't wanna push it too far with the hippie thing. The guy's supposed to be very hippie-like. I'm overall pretty happy with it. Thanks guys.

Don't know about hippies, but at least he looks much more human now. :)

If you want to make him look like a hippie, think beads in his hair/beard, maybe even a bandana. You might also want to go for a more unruly look. Now he looks like a shepherd from a children's sunday school book. Or, indeed, the J-man himself.
