Title: First try at a character
Post by: YOke on Tue 26/08/2003 00:38:45
I have made my first attempt at a character and I'm having trouble with the usuals (arms, legs, hands, shading, whatever). Just give me your 2 cents, you know the drill... Without further delay I give you THE BLUE DUDE!!!! YAY!!!!

Over all its great. I think you could get away with the arms and hands. I like it the way it is... :)

evil: thank you

loom: VERY nice.  :)  You really tightened him up. The new shoulders make him look "strong like bull"  :)

gord: thanx

The story behind him is that when i was 10-12 i drew MASSIVE amounts of superheroes. I still have all my drawings in a shoebox and got them out the other day. More of them to come... :)

But could somebody give me some pointers on how to draw him from the side? I never seem to get the proportions right...  :-\

QuoteThe new shoulders make him look "strong like bull"

Actually they havn t been modified. What makes him look stronger is the:

(i) Smaller head
(ii) Narrower waist

It s all about proportions.
