I made this background in flash today and I want to know if it is in perspective. I havent put anything in the room except for two characters to see how big I needed to make the doors. The colors will probably change to something darker. I basically just want to know if the room itself looks ok. And just incase your wondering the character on the left is a giant thumb or big toe I havent made up my mind.

PS: I made this background in Flash but saved it in image ready. Is there anyway to either upload it into the sight strait from Flash or make it look less pixely when I save it to a different program?

Technically, no it's not in perspective, but it's also a cartoon, so that probably won't matter. Given that the characters are also cartoons it's hard to get a reference for what might look 'wrong.' This looks okay to me. I like the wacky buttons on that scientist guy. The toe's mouth could use some more definition. Maybe make it redder?
Also: that avatar is cool. Looks kind of like a tarot card, with the sqiggly borders and collar. What is it, exactly?

slight perspective problem, redraw the top of the door so that it matches that red line approximately. Like the manga looking guy :)

I found something wrong with the background after I posted it. I moved the wall in the back room back within the doorway but forgot to move it back within the window. Boy is my face red!

Also Morgan, to get your vanishing point extend Dan's grey lines in and where they cross you will get your VP. If you make all your lines go back to this VP then your room will always be in perspective.
I will make a VP to change the perspective. Im also going to make the room a lot more interesting with light switches, lamps, chairs, posters and such.
I may have overreacted about the manga thing. I might consider removing Dan Clark from my people I hate list, but not Bowie! I hate him so much! I only hate manga because thats all I ever see on TV. They never show anything else, manga has taken over! They need to go back to the good old days with good cartoons like GI Joe, Transformers, Duck Tails, and Gummy Bears. I just feel sorry that the kids of today have to watch shows like pokemon and fighting futons.
Well, I was going to say the window thing behind them needs something to differentiate it from the rest of the darker colored walls. It seems plain, or like its just a flat panel on the wall.

I made some changes. The floor still looks a little plain but what are you going to do. I also changed the color of the thumbnail to white instead of pink. It still doesnt look quite right though. The room is supposed to look kind of ugly so no comments on the colors looking bad. It was a little strange though on trying to make the room look ugly I ended up making it look a little to good. Everything just looks so neat and organized. But I will probably change some stuff around before im finished. I almost forgot isnt that the best looking light switch you have ever seen. ISNT IT!?! I just looked at my post and realized that you cant really see the detail in the light switch that well. But trust me in Flash it looks great.

Maybe the only thing I'd add would be some
hideous curtains in a revolting shade of yellow.
Those two colours rarely look good together.
Are the walls painted? Becouse if they aren't, you could make the wallpaper curve down a bit somewhere, Like a sloppy paste job. (I MADE A JOKE! HAHAHAHAHA!1)

Thanks everyone on the c&c. I was going to make the floor a yellowish colored carpet but I couldnt find the right color yellow that didnt hurt my eyes.
Czar: Only the Japanese version of Transformers and the crappy new Transformers is manga. I watched the 1980's American version. Eighties TV rocks!!! (Even though im only 18 and was born in 1986.)
Ive made some quick walk cycles and wanted to know what people think of them. I wanted them to be pretty simple but I may have made the scientists walk cycle a little to simple.

Big News! I have decided to make a Flash Cartoon with these characters instead of a game. I might make a game sometime. With my ability to make hilarious characters and copy classic stories like some people go on a long road trip and get mad at each other or something with aliens. It will be the single greatest cartoon ever!
PS: have any of you ever seen that web site www.homestarrunner.com, it is great.
