Title: Forest background, sprites & dialogue picture
Post by: JLM on Mon 11/04/2005 15:41:17
Here is one background from my upcoming adventure game. What do you think about the background, sprites, dialog picture and text box?

Someones have said the dialog picture is too much photograph-looking (actually it is based on a real photograph). Should it be changed?

In my humble noob opinion, I guess the background style is cool and would go just fine with the rest of the game graphics. I think the important thing is to be coherent, and that you where.

I think your characters are a little to short, though. Unless you intendend to give them this look, I sugest you draw them a little bit taller. Like I (roughly) did (left guy) in this example:

One more thing: The photo you used in the character zoom window doesn't seem to fit. Perhaps you could draw a new one over it.

Cool game, man. Hope to play it soon.  ;)
