Title: Genese sign.
Post by: [Cameron] on Sun 03/10/2004 05:24:46
At the momen i am not looking fo details but rather the shape. I think the front of the gun is fine but i dont know how to do the back of it. Any suggestions.

EDIT:
After playing around for a while I decided i did not need a full gun shape. Here is what i came up with. i was trying to make something o do with the title of the first Knightsbridge Chronicles game, Genese.

Yo, Alec.
There isn't much to say about the shape as of now, simply because I am not sure what kind of gun you are trying to create here.
But anyway.
Check this tutorial out, might help you.

I had a look and pretty much copied the shape to exact.

Here is a Glock 17 from Austria. Standard hand weapon of police forces around the world (incl. LAPD) - don't take anything else if you can get one of those babies!

Or if you prefer american products, the legendary Colt .45 ACP M1911:

Or are you looking for stoping power at maximum - IMI Desert Eagle from Israel:

Need more? (know you all know one of my hobbies ;))

EDIT:

Andail reminded me some may feel offended by me joking about guns...

If we have to revel in weapons, could we at least skip the salesman-talk, Albert?
I really hate that jargon.

Alec, since such a big part of your logo is a barrel of a gun, you should make it much more detailed and realistic. Now it's hard to see what it is, since it's just a black square, mostly

I went for the same style you used on the bullet (though I reduced all to 4 colours. Maybe you like it?

btw. if you look at Andail's post, you can see that not all people are attracted by guns - some even repelled by the image - so you might think twice before using this as your company logo.

EDIT:

Now I know what you are aiming at (pun intended) you might consider using an old fashioned revolver - since they have a much more recongnizable sillouhette (did I write that correct?) when you are taking only the barrel.

Here are some variants of the historical Colt A.S.S. "The Peacemaker"

@Andail:

Sorry, I was just joking - since I have been a professional soldier for several years, I sometimes forget not all people are as easy about guns as I am. No offence meant!

Just practice art. Sort of like a banner for the first KC game which i have titled Genese. Not for anything but rather to improve my drawing skills.

Alec
