First off, what does C&C actually stand for? Criticism & something or what?
Secondly, I once had a dream of a wonderful adventure game, I might still get there some day, but for now I enjoy visiting these fora, especially the Critics Lounge. I love the artwork that passes around here and the great atmosphere in which people criticize or praise eachothers work.
Now the artwork before you is actually not for a game. I'm currently designing a booklet with Adobe Indesign. I wanted to add some illustrations so I drew this girl for a start. I used Illustrator to draw the lines and coloured her using Photoshop. I don't know what you guys will throw at me, but I think I'll keep her the way she is. I will use all your advice and suggestions for future reference, since I still want to make about 7 more of these drawings.
This is a completely new style for me as well as the method of colouring. So anyway, you may fire at will!

EDIT: I changed this pic to a link so as to cut down on your loading time. See images below.
Not sure anymore about the "keeping her the way she is" part.
Comments and Criticism... Well it looks great, I would maybe make the right eye show through the hair. And her left sleeve is missing an outline. Good all around...
It looks nice! I would have made the shadows on the body/limbs have sharp edges instead of the blurred edges.
Great picture, but I think that eyes should be little wider...
Of course, everyone has their own style. However, if I were to attempt a drawing like this... Going from top to bottom:
-I'd throw some hair in the back so it doesn't look like it just grows in front and on the sides.
-The facial shading seems a bit inconsistant. I've run into this problem myself (excuse me if I'm being presumptuous here). I want to shade but can't get it quite right so I do a it of subtle shading here and there. I think it's better to skip the detail shading altogether or stick to your guns and go full-tilt. For this drawing, I'd say lose bone-structure shading.
-I like how the breasts are underlined instead of being bulbous protrusions but I would shape out the curve a bit. Slope in the top portion a bit and add some under-curve.
-For some drawings, four fingers works just fine, especially when going cartoony. For this one, I don't think a fifth finger would look too crowded and would be complimentary.
-The pants currently look like WW1 pilot pantaloons. This is mostly due to the shape of her hips. I'd say drop the pant-line to the hips or raise the hips closer to the waist-line.
I know this seems like a lot of criticism but all of the changes would be rather subtle. I like the drawing a lot as it is. I like the clean lines and well-chosen colors as well as the fun curvy style of it. All my suggestions are, of course, personal preferences and you may discard them at will.
looks great! but it would probably look (even) better if you gave her one of those half smiles to make her look more confident and DJ like.

How comes that one of the eyebrows is in front of hair?
In anime (menga or whatever) they tend to leave the eyebrow and black of the eye over the hair in front of it... just a style thing...
Oh... I'm not especially familiar with mangas...
if it wasn't for the chest, i'd say it is a guy. good drawing, but it would look even better if you made the shapes in the face a little more female. don't ask me how to. i'm just a messenger...
Another thing I noticed is that there is no cord on the headphones...
I made a few minor changes based on comments posted her. If I didn't take your advice, don't be mad. If however you are in the mood for some scornful flaming, be my guest.
Here it is:

Slamgrinder, that's great! It definitely makes her look more confident. I didn't get what you meant with a 'half smile' before.
Anyway, I made a new one today. Except for reusing the hair, I made her from scratch in Illustrator. So besides your basic C&C, I'd would like to know If you feel this is the same girl.

1) I realise that if I go with Slamgrinders version or a variation on his version, I'd need to change the facial expression of this one too.
2) There is something wrong with her left foot... I'll change.. well.. something.
3) The white on her hand is supposed to be magnesium powder, does this look like what I intended?
thats great! that smile looks better than the one on the last one, it looks like shes her daughter or somthing! but her hand looks a bit like the fingers have been amputated or something :-\.

They do look like eachother, but the heads look slightly different though I'm not shure how...
one is more round than the other and has a more happy experession.

Looks like the same girl in different clothes. Looks great though!
I like the way the hands curve around the top of the shape, like she's gripping it.
