right well, thanx for that, could not work out what I was doing wrong.
the point is, its my first ever background in progress and I wondered if anyone could give me any crit on it, for that is what the crit lounge is for. is it worth finishing or should i scrap this style completely?

end the tag with [/img] ... and uh... what's the point? is that for a game? the texture annoys me a bit, maybe give it some variation...

The texture seems okay to me ... but we could probably be more precise on how to improve the bg, if it was complete.

Yeah, well, true, I guess. Well, first of all, add the sky, and the road looks a bit off, like it was in an upright position, somehow detached, but can't really describe. Other than that it looks fine.
