Would you play this game if he walked like this?
cool, kinda looks like the end of his feet are a bit floppy though, they seem to bounce, but it's probably just the bottom of his shoes making him look like that.

ha ha, I love it, It's different, but it gives the alien a lot of character... he looks real nervous like, which matches your other anim...
Excellent animation quality though and I wouldn't find it annoying in the least to play a game where the character walked like that. Just some C&C for what it's worth...
Maybe just a bit less shoulder movement. As it is, it looks like his shoulders are nearly going 90 degrees from normal just by his walking. Of course, this could be explained by the fact he's an alien.
It kind of looks like he's dancing. Maybe there should be a bit more up/down movement of the torso as well. Here's an experiment. Cover up the bottom half of the image with your hand and see if it looks like he's walking. You should be able to tell a walk or run even without the legs.

I'd have the eyebrows slanted a pixel to give the expression of worry.... he looks rather shocked at the minute.

on this one all i did was switch the feet up a little so that his feet fall nicer i think and his knee has a little more bend to it when it's coming back around

on this one i straightened his legs while he's standing on it and kinda have it swing out and around a little when it's in the air, also tried to mess with his head bobbing because i think it's off at the moment.
his head should bob down when he touches the ground with his whole foot i think. instead you have it on his heel, don't you? he's exerting all his force when the foot is down, he's catching himself so that is when his body goes down
and if you can give the impression that he has more weight to him, that when the foot comes down he's really hitting hard then that would offset his upper torso movement a bit i think, help balance it out. cause his upper body is really throwing it's weight around but his legs are just kinda casually sliding along the groun
what i tried to do was get his leg up a little more and give his knee a bend but it was hard to do with such small res and editing a gif
anyway, help at all?
DOH! just realized 2 things, one you had a stray pixel under each hand in one frame and two, maybe having him walk like a human may help? his arms are moving with his legs and not against, this isn't necessary but i'm testing it anyway:

hmmm his upper body still moves faster than his feet. maybe one more body turn frame over existing feet?

Those little blue ones are very nice Synth! Can you describe the technique of their creation? i.e. drew each and scanned, or drew each in some software or used flash or moho or something?

I drew all these in the same picture on different layers, halfway there i copied and flipped him.
Then i used cutout from eyecandy to shade him,
after that i used adjustments/colour balance to make him blue,
and after that i deleted all the double pixels on the outside and coloured it a darker blue and filled the eyes. Thats about it.

although I would prefer the alien to have his hands down when walking, right now it looks like he's blinded and looks for a wall of some kind :)
but I wouldn't mind when playing the game, not that in the sidewalk thing he would need his hands up too...
when you had the two aliens next to eachother it reminded me of the skeleton dance scene :)
