what did you use to do this. Photoshop has a brush stile for that. It's number 112

One thing about the bridge....it is difficult differentiating between the railing and the floor part. Perhaps you could add a little more shading to it?
Also, I think the depth problem stems from the shade you used on the background part. It is a little too blue, which would make it seem that it is verrry far away, but the castle(?) is a bit too big looking. Perhaps you could add a few more hills with varying opacity, inbetween the background area and the main part of the picture

A small paint-over:

-fixed the bridge's lineart (double pixels & stuff),
-changed the ground's saturation and brightness,
-added some texture to the ground,
-added some detail lke random bushes and a plant climbing the house wall.

Hope that helped.

a couple of things,....on the bridge, i would consider varying the color of the rocks a bit,....make some stones darker, or lighter, or give them a hint of blue, or brown, or whatever.  for the grass, usually grass is not even all over, but has patches that are a bit more dried out, or more healthy than the rest, so, some patches of straw color, and some patches of darker green could be good.  also, grass that isn't perfect lawn grass tends to be on the clumpy side, so painting in some roughly horizontal shadows, then going back and repainting in the grass can be effective.  for bushes, it's best to paint in the shadows to start, then paint in the basic bush shape with a dark green, and the outer leaves with a lighter green.  also, one thing to remember about bushs and trees, sometimes they have bare branches or twigs protruding through the foliage.

Damien- I like the color changes , and i know there are alot of double pixels i was gonna clean it up once i got to the shading stage

Babar- Yeah as i said it was unfinished i still have to do the shading and i was thinking of adding some more hills aswell so i'll work on that!

Viktor- I use PSP 8.0 so i cant use thatÃ,  :-\

Edit: BTW when its finished it will be in the contributions thread so anyone can use it

Also Damien Since you already cleaned up the bridge can i use your version of it for later work?

There's a video tutorial I made not much time ago... how to do it all in 2-3 minutes.

you should break up the bottom edge of the house with some blades of grass.
