So I've had this idea that I wanted to have a cool intro video for the design studio my wife and I formed (Pink Pineapple Ink) (not to be confused with Pink Pineapple, which I think makes animated porn) and I really wanted to kind of pay homage to the Kyle Cooper MARVEL movie intro because it's just plain awesome.

So I designed this for my first game, which I'll be releasing the demo of (and making a thread for) in the next few weeks.

Well I definitely got the Marvel influence, but Marvel animation goes into a Marvel logo. It changes from pages to a Marvel logo, while this is just beginning with the pages and then a font that's to a degree similar to that Marvel font.
If that's your goal, then ok, but maybe make an actual logo or something - for example make the pages roll like they do now, but then a pineapple cutout/mask slowly surrounding the pages until it shrinks to a certain size. That way you can still see the pages through the hole in a shape of a pineapple (or just the letters "Pink Pineapple Ink") in the middle but everything else is black or pink.
Something like that, just to make it more your own and less letters on the animation.

Btw I've read/heard somewhere that the pages that roll in the Marvel logo are from the comic that movie it's in is made of (like pages from Capt. America comic in the Capt. America movie etc.), don't know if that's true, but it sounds like a cool detail.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

The pages are indeed from whatever movie is being shown.

I see what you're saying about the logo. Honestly I just went with the fade in text because I didn't want it to be too closely related to the marvel one. I might make a few more changes though.

Needed something to use to give a five-minute lesson in making paths and bezier curves in Illustrator. Feel free to use or to reject. I can also send an .ai or .eps file:

I think the Marvel reference (knock off, rip off) is way too obvious, and weakens the overall design. Marvel can get away with that because it presents an established world through those images (originally they didn't reference the movie at hand by the way; for reference the incledible Hulk and SpiderMan). And personally I wouldn't start out with too many direct references to the current product in the into video either *. Main reason? - You're not established, and when I saw this, the first thing I thought was: the pink pineapple ink design studio has a single (limited) style; so if I'm looking for anything else I wouldn't knock on your door. And that's not something you want potential customers to think.

While keeping some of the Marvel influences I would try to show different styles in an interesting but logical order (for example going from black and white to grayscale to monochrome to pastel to full colour, or going from simple vector shapes to hand-drawn images, or even simply showing the design process of going through sketches, lineart, and final product (which could be combined with any of the other orders)). You could choose to keep minor parts of each image on-screen to combine them into a mosaic of your logo (I do like Eric's version by the way), or something like that. Make it a bit more creative, personal, and generally applicable *.

Also, on a side-note...your last image that fades to black stands still for a long time, and I don't really know why you choose to end with this particular one, but the (I think) main character is looking scared and not in control. So you end with a negative emotion that focuses on the name of the studio.

Just some ideas, I hope they help...

* when going for the design-process idea you could of course choose to use e.g. a character from the current project as a basis (if you wanted to); or some magical artifact, and spaceship, or whatever else is crucial to the story.
