One of the coolest/most interesting things in a character design - you can recognize it by it's silhouette. This character you really couldn't. So I suggest you pronounce the curves, I know it'll make animation harder, but it'll look better, there are just too many straight lines there, especially in the arms and torso.
Move the elbows in the front view away from the torso by a pixel or two and make him look like he's carrying a blaster rifle, that should fix the hands to the body problem.

You can maybe even leave the legs, it'll stay easy to animate. Maybe add a knee pad, that might help the bending of knees in animation.

Otherwise, it looks cool to me. Would suggest shading, but it's still a WIP or it could just be your style so no critic on that part.

Hope that helps.

p.s. although this looks just fine and at first I didn't notice the difference, but his shoulder pads are wrong, look at any pick, they're actually more on the arm than on the shoulders an the separation line in the armour is vertical not horizontal. You're trooper would have a hard time lifting his arms up.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Your character is leaning too much to the back in the side view.

They look quite simple, to be honest. Try adding more shading to them. I did some Stormtroopers (or Clones or whatever) for my game Star Wars game quite some time ago, maybe they'll help ya improving your own!
