I like pixel art!

Like chicken says, there's not too much to critique on it.

You could probably get away with making them slightly bigger?

Even at 320 x 200 that's a tiny character!

It reminds me old 8-bit Nintendo games like Dragon Warrior.

I agree, I can't find any bigger flaws with it - If you want the old RPG-ish style, I'd say you're as close as you can get... Nice job!

My advice is to keep reading http://pixeltutorial.cjb.net/

That is where I got the idea from...

The old rpg style game was what I was aiming for.

BTW: Does anyone know of a game creator of RPG's?

- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

I started this a while ago, but never finished it. Anyway, theres a link there to a site that had RPGMaker2003, which it should still have.

edit: Oh wait, I just checked and that site is down and getting rebuilt... sorry.

RPGMaker 2000 and 2003 are technically illegal, unless you buy them in Japan.  I heard that the company that makes it says they might release and English version of 2003, but only if the pirate translations don't get too heavily distributed (which is probably already a lost cause).

There's dozens of freeware RPG Makers, very few of them are anywhere near AGS's usability level.

Verge has been mentioned, I wasn't very impressed with it.

RPG Toolkit is popular, but I personally don't like it much.  It has some features that indicate the author doesn't really know anything about how real RPG games work internally, and it uses regular Windows buttons for menus and stuff.

My personal pick at the moment would be Sphere (www.aegisknight.org).  It seems to be the best of the legal freeware RPG engine crop, IMO.

Here's another freeware one I found at dosgames.com:

OHR RPG Creation Engine

Looks to be complimentary to your style, although I'm not sure if you need to use their internal editor to draw your stuff. Links to a few other RPG engines as well, here.

EDIT:
I forgot to compliment you, great job! I'm making an RPG too, although mine will be 3d and not nearly as cool.  ;D

I wish you luck, those animations look really cool and are exactly like what I remember in older RPGs. Heh, I remember my friend telling me how awesome the vortex in Chrono Trigger was, and here we are with all of this new graphic stuff and these games are still the coolest.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.
