Here's the story:
The room is situated at the hospital. The room is called "Entrance". So, naturally the room needs a reception desk. At first I wanted to make one like in Theme Hospital, but soon enough I learned, that redrawing iso to perspective is extremely hard for me. So, I started looking for a good reception desk picture, which would be easy enugh for me to redraw. After many rejects I eventually found this:

And after some often interrupted drawing came up with this:

It also has some semi-transparent shading under the ark-like-looking thing , but you can't see it, because the background right now is transparent too.

Maybe this one looks a bit noobish for the pros, but it's a huge progress for me, because I've finally learned to draw stuf, so it can be recognised (at least by me).

Anyway, feel free to C&C. (Thought, it's too late to change anything)

The top of the lamp is huge compared to rest, especially its foot.
The perspective distortion of the monitor is way too exaggerated. Same goes for the keyboard.

The rest seems fine to me, not much to really crit. Except maybe the desk's color.

1) Main protagonist is suffering from some brain damage problem.
2) Receptioner (or secretary, I don't know which one is better) is female.

Man I wanted to re-make it. Well, when I finished I made a mistake and saved it as JPG and that ... killed all my effort. If I find some time tomorrow(and if there's still a need) I will do it again, but I shall go to sleep now!

Since it's meant to be in a hospital, I don't think it matters what gender the receptionist is - for one thing, there's likely to be a couple of them on shifts, and for another it would be part of a uniform colour scheme not something they've picked themselves. Pale greens/blues, or something wood-y, would sit better, IMO. Better yet, move away from the free standing desk look, and more towards this picture (Welsh NHS hospital - best I could find on Google Images).

Also, isn't that the wrong side of the desk? Unless the protagonist IS the receptionist, I don't think they'd see this side of the desk (except maybe as part of a 'distract the nurse and steal something' puzzle).
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

I'll say fix the double pixels on the head of the lamp. While I'm not that big hater of double pixels compared with some members here, I'll say it's better to fix them for consistency's sake, as the other parts of your sprite don't have double pixelled outlines.

Also, Lionmonkey, can you replace or shrink (the image size physically to 60x60) your avatar image? It's ridiculous to use a 2.5MB animated GIF as an avatar. :P

Hi,

I like the desk, so I did a paintover, just minor fixes, really:

- gave the desk top some actual mass/thickness
- redrew the lamp (this is a typical office desk lamp used nowadays in Europe, perhaps except the color, I kept your green)
- fixed perspective on the keyboard

I also couldn't resist showing you how you can replace the black outlines with some very simple shading  ;)

Thanks for the advices all of you.

To Ashen: This picture is one of the first I found but, I took that desk because it was the only thing I was able redraw.
