Darkened

I dont know wich one to chose, the first one looks like it can siute my game better, but i need some opinions.
Thanks.

The wall color looks more like an interrogation room than a hotel room.Ã, And the green/red is just a bad combination (in my opinion)
- made the bed thicker
- altered the shadows (looked like there was a light under the bed)
- changed the wall/bed colors
- added some foreground elements
- heightened the door
- changed the door handle
- added light switch
- added some noise to the floor
You've improved alot, Tanker.. Well done.. And yes, Room 1 is better.. But your color scheme needs work.. Don't get fancy like Darth, though.. You don't need those black shadow thingies.. But if you really study what he did, you can learn..
Great improvement
The first one does look better, IMO, but please make the bad thicker, like Darth's, at least.
Thanks a lot darth, and all of you that gave me opinions.I think i will work a bit on darths edit and see what i can do.
I think you mean Darth, not Dart.
Here is an edit:
What i did:
Removed the window on the other building.
Changed the windoew.
Added some action figures (Look at that LeChuck!)
What i dont like:
The carpet looks like a metal trap door.
The empty shelf.
hey, greatly improved tanker. I would suggest you filled the shelf with books, lotsa them. And maybe some bookend's yeh, that'll do.
New color for the rug and bed... If you don't like it, then just remove the line pattern on the rug to get rid of the "metal trap door" look.
And yes, add books to the bookshelf.
The dolls look nice, but if this is a hotel room they probably wouldn't be there (unless the current person renting the room put them there).
The room has a great feeling :)But I think that the drawer`s handles should be in the middle not in the right side of it,because how they will open ;)
Can I ask you how can you make so detailed little objects like the LeChuck doll???
ScottDoom: Thanks for the color, matching bed! Yes they where put there by the player (you).
NaStY_FrEaK: Thanks. The "drawers" open like a door, so you can see whats inside. I draw all my images in paint and artgem.
Chicken: I was thinking of adding a plant or something, but i guess books will do too.

Edit:

Added the other tentacle and a monkey island collectors box!(Beats the shit out of any plant!)
Character:
He's supposed to be a monkey island freak, and as you can see characters are not my strong point.
The colors should probably be more of something like that. Also, add LeChuck's head or the words Monkey Island or something to his shirt. Or a Monkey Island logo, if there is one (sorry, I didn't play the games).
There is WAY too much personal belongings in the room for it to be a hotell room...
I'd suggest putting some potted plants there, or putting some MI moster up on the wall :)
About the room, it looks very small for it to be a hotel room... and as already said, there's too much personal stuff, unless the one who lives there has decorated it :P
About the character... I made a paintover:
- Removed double-pixels
- Added shading
- Changed the hands
- Made some small modifications to the shirt (collar for example), face and pants.
Not bad! You've got much better. :)
I dont know what to add to the room anymore, maybe a quick paint over to give me an idea?
Edit:
*Made him shorter, was way too big.
*Added a LeChuk on the shirt.
*Added some shading.
Now the only problem is the tv, it covers the whole character, now either i change the tv size, or make it that the character gets larger as you move towards the screen. But scince this is a 1 room (maybe 2 room), i think that would ruin it.
This is the Get-it-back-to-front-page post.
But i have a question, would you like a game with only sidewalk views? Because i was thinking of making it like that.
No, it shows that you are the lazy!
True, in the early tester I made with AGS, Scratch Cat (not released), I HATED animating the front and back vers, as in vector (which is what Real DRAW is) it means drawing a whole new chara, you have to get the height and proportions exactly right!
Ok worked on it a bit more:
Im not that proud of it. Paintovers appritiated.
It's hard to tell exactly what is on his shirt...
you need to adjust the angle of leCHicks face o the shirt. looks nice though
ScottDoom: Thats LeChuck, any MI fan would know that.
Zootyfruit: Yes thats a problem i couldnt fix, maybe a paint over?
Cool. Tanker your art has improved a lot since your last game. But maybee it would be even better if you would make your own monkey island charcter drawings than just simply copying the picture in to your own.
Oh i didnt copy the picture, i looked at it and drew it.
