Title: I don't come here to much but how does the voice sound to you
Post by: Candle on Fri 13/01/2006 09:08:49
I'm using my own voice and I'm no voice actor but I gues you have to do what you need to do to get the job done.
This is a video with poser char talking using my voice .
see below
I have it in avi but the size was over 2MB so wanted to get the file size donw and used wmv and now at 502KB .
He is talking about a Video Cam that got the beast killing one of the members of the crew. ( that video plays then more of him talking that is not done yet).

Your voice sounds fine - the lines are delivered a little flat but I am guessing the guy is a bit in shock after what happened so it works :)

Yes the video that follows shows the guy getting his head rip off.

Sounds good.:) Maybe a little more articulation and it'll be fine. And cut the exhale noise.

OR have exhaling noises for the scaryness and short of breath!

Oh you mean where the breath has been blown on the mic and made it sound unclean.

Ya I was to close to the mic I think. or maybe it was the fan running next to me ? it was a little warm in here and had the fan running.
maybe a new mic is in line for me . lol using one of those cheap bestbuy ones to do the sound right now.

I assure you that's not the fan! Unless you were holding the fan right up to the mic..   :-\

I get that noise sometimes.. i now hold the mic to the side of my mouth so I don't breath on it.

I don't get that problem with my singing microphine because it has a pop shield on it.

You have an ok voice, but it sounds like you're keeping your tongue still in the center of your mouth and talking. Try moving around a little more. (I hope this makes sense!).

Yes I think it was the mic being in front of my mouth , will try like you said Matt and put it to the side and see if that helps .
Thanks Zor I will try that .

Here is a new one with the mic to the side and added some emotion to him. hope it wasn't to much.

that's okay until the end, where he goes "SOON!", he sounds like he's rushing to finish his line so he can get a coffee break.

you need to relax when doing your voices, but at least you got rid of the breathing! (Go me!)

Basically, just like my singing throughout the years, you get better and more confident as you do it.
