Title: Idustrial/Rock/Metal Music
Post by: The Suitor on Sat 30/07/2011 17:34:01
I started this one-song-a-week project. It's gained a bit of attention, but I have no real source of honest opinions because social music networks are all about the follow-me-I'll-follow-you sort of thing. So, I figured I would post here in the critic's lounge to see what the AGS crowd had to say about it.

Here's the link to all the music: http://revoltattherobotfactory.blogspot.com/ (http://revoltattherobotfactory.blogspot.com/)

I've been recording music for years, and I don't have an awesome home setup. But with what I do have, I still know there's room for improvement.

Are you kidding me? That was a great sound for a home setup, a lot better than the majority of studios round here. Very mature sound, wasn't what I expected. The vocals were very well suited, would fit in well in the modern metal/hardcore scene. The composition was also pretty spot on, I couldn't pick any flaws in your songwriting.

I don't see why you couldn't sell this, it may take a band and a lot of gigging but it's definitely marketable.

Did i say i really like it?  :=

I would spend at least 7 eurobucks 50 on it without hesitation.

That's how much I enjoy it. I've bookmarked it, even, and Imma spam it on twitterses now.

It sounds bitchin'. You should really consider putting your music in some games! Can't really think of too much in the way of criticism.

Wow, I must say I didn't expect such good things to be said, haha.

Thanks! That means a lot. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find people that can play decently where I live. And the one's that do, want a J-break every ten minutes, haha. Believe me I would want nothing more than to have a band and gig. I used to a few years ago, and well... let's just say everyone got distracted.

Awesome, a twitter spam on my behalf? I'm honored :P It does make me happy you would spend money on it. One day down the road I might offer a cheap psychical version duplicated from some nice duplication service. But I'm so poor, I don't know when that day will be.  :=

Yes I have been considering that. Seeing as how for some reason I cannot seem to ever finish a full game, I'd definitely be interested in supplying at least the music part of it. :D

Really good music, it reminds me a bit of band called Gravity Kills. I'd buy the album, too.  :)

Don't misunderstand me, I'd love a physical copy and I know some people who'd totally want it too - but I'd pay that for 320kbps MP3s if it comes with artwork and info and whatnot. Meaning, you don't need to offer it physically nowadays - and really, why would you? Well, why would you only offer a physical version? I, and I'm not the only one, would rip it to MP3 and throw it with the rest of the unused CDs anyway ;)

Digital releases are the bomb - they're superhandy for both sides :D
