I'm working on some illustrations for children book and thought i'd pop one (that i just finished) here.
Nothing ags-related, but it's been a while since i posted some pic.

wow that is just superb :o
/me feels really complexed
that's exactly the style i've been wanting to learn. got any tuts?
Ooooooh.... Pretty... Oh, how pretty...
No, but seriously, this is truly amazing. I don't know how you expect us to critisize this, since it is totally flawless in my eyes... Just... Kickass, simply...
And btw, I don't know if you intended this or not, but I got a big Tim Burton-vibe when I first saw this picture... And I like that... :)
awsome pic:) i think the skyline could look better a little highter up on the pic
but nice lines:)
I totally agree with Rince ... when I saw this I was like, "He should have entered this in the Background Blitz" (which is Tim Burton-esque this time around in case you haven't been in there to view it!)
About the ONLY thing I can possibly find to crit would be the color of the sky ... if it maybe had just the slightest hint of blue in it ... I don't know. That might kill the look ... Ahhh fuck it. It's awesome ...

Great job!
dm
I like the coloring idea behind it. It is something that could be transfered rather intelligently in a game.
Of course the characters are simply stunning. I luv the butterfly..

:)
The character style reminds me of that cartoon show, the Critic.
Absolutely fantastic work again, Igor! :D
that pic is completely amazing!! You really have talent.
I know this guy who is an artist, and his work doesn't even come close to the quality of that picture. You, my friend, are the real artist.
Shawn :)
Igor, you are truely unique and awesome in your ability to draw and make others feel self-conscious about there inability to draw.
Wow, that's a sweet pic. It reminds me of Tim Burton too. Good luck with the book!
I feel like I have teh very small pen1sh now ;D ... awesome work.
I'm going to buy this book.
Thank you all for great feedback! :)
DM: great suggestion about a slight blue shade in sky color, thanks! If i'll have some time left, i'll sure try it out. You are right though, that it might kill some contrast that is created with different colors in foreground. I'll see :)
That powerbuff drawing style of yours ;P
Cool.
Man, you really should have worked for Disney during the "Golden Years"... I wish I had only a small fragment of your talent. Awesome.
Shit, that's amazing :o :o :o
Nice. I like your style. Now, where might I be able to buy this book when it is done? What is it called/about?
Looks like Dr. Suess on Acid.. Very psychadelic and creepy and awsome.
If/When this book is made/released. You must notify us immediately and you will sell millions!!! MILLIONS, I TELL YOU!
Ooooooh, nice! :D
Nice, very nice!
Nice, very nice indeed.
EDIT:
Only one thing; her right eye is perhaps a bit dark and is perhaps a little bit flat, non-rounded.. if you see my point?
I just saw a dandruff shampoo advert witch had stop-motion animation in EXACTLY the same style as this...
I kid you not...Maybe it was a Tim Burton tribute. ???
Thank you again for great feedback! :)
I'll let you know when the book will be published (don't know its title yet- only that there will be 5 short stories).
Eggie- huh? With "stop motion" you mean clay animation? Any link with pics?
http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/commercials/807/
is this what you mean eggie?
it's a popular style of modeling i've seen it in many short films and commercials and of course nightmare before christmas
one of the best short films i've seen using this style was about the sandman and it was creepy scary
also check out Rust Boy

Thanks for the link Eric :)
This commercial looks absolutely stunning!
I was always fan of puppet/clay animation... too bad it's so time-consuming.
Eggie got me worried for a sec though ;)
How did I miss this thread? :o
Its okay tho...because I'm speechless anyway. ._.
Really nice, but I think the sky might be a little to dark
ah whatever, made a paintover, hope you don't mind
I've brightend up the sky, darkend the village and added some fog behind it, not that much diffrent
I'll remove it if you want
(http://user.tninet.se/~bwe399n/igorpaintover.jpg)
Oh, i like the fog effect! Too bad i already sent the illo forward... Hm, i'll ask if there's still time to change this. Anyway, appreciate it!
OTG- thanks :)
Yeah, that's the one I meant..I didn't know it was CG, though...
my only crit is that you should post your pics more often!!!!
