Howdy. This picture I drew by pencil. Then I scanned it in PSP and colored it in Flash. Tell me what you think. This is my first time trying a Light source. I normally just do shading and no highlights. I think it all works but you tell me.
Here is the pic ...

As for the character, awesome, in every way. But the lightsabers are blunt at the end. as in, they have the shape of a police-baton and not a sword. Awesome image
Well, all I can say is that she's holding the light saber in a dangereous posture, seems like she's going to burn her boo... er... chest, unless that is just a decorative neon light, or she's wearing some GOOD protective clothings. :=
the lightsaber looks fine to me
however, the lightsaber should be the major lightsource
also, the upper right shoulder looks very wierd...looks flat compared to the rest of it which looks like it has depth
First of all, WOW! I love the style, if it wasn't for the shading it will look similar to the star wars animated thingy that i watch in cartoon network. Very nice and clean.
Critics: I don't know cause i don't fight with swords, but i think it would look better if the right hand was in the upper position. If you have seen kill bill 1, the part were she is fighting with the crazy 88, she puts herself into a pose were the sword is parallel to the floor at her head height, something like this...

And if you switch the hands, she looks ready to swing her sword.
Having said this, i don't know if that is a jedi pose,,,,but it looks cool.
Apart from that, its excellent, keep it up
Well, they seem to have different poses whenever you see them. One I see often is the one where the saber is pointing backwards, like he's just going to draw it, except it's already turned on.

really quick sketch. (Try guessing when I got bored)
I think the pose looks alright!
Its perfect I love the jedi. :)
Plans for a Jedi Fan game? ;)
I think it's a bit of an exaggerated figure, but for video game females I suppose it's normal. :P
Quotelightsabers are blunt at the end
Haddas: Very true, didn't think anyone would catch that. I changed it a bit intentionally to give it some flavor.
Quotethe lightsaber should be the major lightsource ... also, the upper right shoulder looks very wierd...looks flat
stuh505: Hrm, yeah the lightsaber should be the main lightsource. In which case all my shadows are off! :) That shoulder is indeed messed up. I didn't notice the bad placement until she was already inked. I had hoped that my Flash editing had corrected the problem, but it still appears out of place.
Quotesimilar to the star wars animated thingy that i watch in cartoon network
fertoff: Thanks, your comment just made my day. I love that style and the Star Wars animated artwork.
QuotePlans for a Jedi Fan game?
Reptile: No, but I am involved in a Space Quest fan game ATM. My other favorite Sci-fi. :)
The cape on her right side has a very awkward shape also.
But might I add, that I do really like your style. I've always admired your work that you post here.

I liked the look of the original, except the shoulders. The lightsabre wasn't saturated enough imo to give a lightsabre-esque impression, and the lighting, while working, made it look like she was holding a white stick.
Anyway, nice style, one that I wasn't able to maintain in the higher contrast edit.
Nice edit loom
All I can say is, "Incredible". That is an awesome edit. It fixes everything wrong about the shoulders and the lighting. I've saved the file to my HD to learn from. Thanks!
....Where are her feet? Heh....
Squinky, you dope, her feet is INSIDE the robe!
