This is a kitchen I have done for my game....
C&C please!
BTW, I am doing a refrigderator as an object becase you have to open it.
Edit: Yes, I am with stupid, but he seems to have dissapeared....*cough*
The angle is too high, unless you've drawn the character at this angle too it'll look off. Does look ok though, the windows seem strange, out the door you see green, and in the windows you see white..
OK, I have to admit, I was rushng it a bit. I have a lot of rooms to do! The character will have diagonal walking loops at this angle.
Actually, it's good, but there are several things that meet the eye.
1) The perspective is not that good. It seems like a camera in a mall. If you would like to use this perspective, you'll have to draw another view of your main character.
2) The floor shading. I thing you did it wrong, The windows are on the other side of the room. The blank space on the right. Try a fridge, an oven, a microwave, table or something.
3)The opened door on the left seems a bit weird.
4)The kitchen cabinet shading seems weird. Try solid color.
I may keep the perspective, not to sure yet. And you are right about the cabinet. The door is open because Rodney has just come though it.

Looks really nice! There are some perspective problems, like the right window should be smaller than the left. But the most obvious is the wall seen through the right door - it should be in line with the left floor-wall margin.
EDIT:
Now I understand why it looks so good! You've pulled off a major perspective breakthrough, making the scene appear as if it was shot thru a wide angle lens.
Hmmm....I thought it was....I will take more time over that...
Allthough it looks wierd, I LIKE IT! :D
I'd just discoered some of the things you can do with PSP. (I have PSP5)
The first one would look like a night scene if you chaged the outside to dark... there would be a lamp on in the other room... ;D
someone found gradients :D how about a lens flare through the window?
JIMI: Don't post BMPs. It's easy to save a gif or jpg in PSP, and it cuts the download time a lot for people on dialup. There's absolutely no reason to post a BMP when you just want c&c on your work.. And I'm sure you've been told before about this.
Custard: Is there an easy way of doing that? (I was going to , but thought it would involve a lot of time and effort)
Ben: I am on dial up, and I have been told once. Soz, I will save it as gif next time. Its just that AGS doesn't use gifs, and I hate JPegs.
Ok.... sorry the mess with the bmp, but I was just about show my point... (Damn mess, but I made it in a hurry...)

----- EDIT -----
Oops! Forgot the floor.... ::)
I like it, but its in the day...actually,....

Just save a seperate copy as a gif or png, like everyone else :)
So how do I do the sun thing?
Oh dear god, is he asking how to pull off a lens flare?
In the effect browser in PSP, search for sunburst.
OK. :-[ I edited the floor aswell, so it didn't look so...curvey...
I decided it would be easier to just use a side view, so I wouldn't really have to draw diagonal loops. This is it:

What do you think? C&C please. I know that the floor is in perspective too:

Also, I don't know how I should do the glass in the window. It looks out onto their back garden.
Thanks

NO LENSE FLARE!!11!
it looks pretty good actually, i like how the grass blurs with the dorr
What grass blurs???
By the way, I just realised I forgot to give thier kitchen a sink...damn.
fridge? a kitchen without a fridge? or is it in another angle perhaps?
I'm going to have the fridge as an object. :-\ no..you don't use it...*ehem*...damn....now people know about my magic fridge...
This one rocks!
heh, it's great jimi, but I have some comments
Maybe it's best to loosen on the black outlines and go for other colors instead.
Besides a sink you also missed a stove and maybe an oven (for what do you have a kitchen).
note that the black outline thingy could be a matter of taste
OK, I'll try using some other colours rather than black, and then se what you think....
