Title: Large (or largish...) renders of buildings :)
Post by: KyriakosCH on Sun 29/07/2018 16:43:30
The first one being my WIP of a render of my own model of the Hagia Sophia, the monumental medieval Greek (Byzantine) cathedral.

I'd also like to ask if people know where i could upload the finished renders, in order to possibly sell them for a token price (eg up to 5 euros might be a good start...). I am thinking of Turbosquid 2d, but more options would be great!

Anyway, say if you like what you see :=

Sorry for reposting the image. Just wanted a zoomable version.

And now that I zoomed... It's incredible!!!

Try googling for "3d models" I'm pretty sure I've stumbled into sites selling 3D models.
Good luck

Thanks, yet i am not really meaning to upload them as 3d models; just isometric gfx, 2d renders (aka "2,5 d gfx"). :)
There aren't as many markets for this kind of thing, although new game machines (eg android etc) as well as retro style making a come-back has created some kind of market.

Personally i prefer well-made 2d to 3d gfx, but the youth of today ( ;) ) likely only wants full 3d.

You can try the unity asset store. Here's somebody selling an 2D isometric tileset, for example (https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/environments/2d-isometric-tile-starter-pack-27944).

Thanks :)

It seems i will have to first create my own site to showcase my stuff (part of their requirements) :)

Turbosquid.com or maybe itch.io. Possibly sketchfab.com too.
