Title: Learning to draw (c&c + help wanted) UPDATE!!
Post by: YOke on Wed 03/03/2004 14:01:58
Howdy, people!

Playing around a bit in Photoshop trying to find a style. This is the most recent result. Hope you can help me with making it better. Body is to follow, (and I'm not looking forward to learning to animate ;) ), but we'll take that later. I concider the face the most important for now. So without further delay...

UPDATE!!!!

Mage: Tried to remove the outlines. I agree that they were "disturbing" :) This is a quick edit, not done yet, but...

He has tight lips and a weak chin. I'll have to fix it... or just make him a villain. ;)

i think that realistic chars go better without an outline... comic, cartonish etc. go better with outlining. thats my opinion.  but now his nose seems odd.. perhaps try adding one another pixel just below it to make it more rounded.

looks good. i think its better with outlines. the mouth seems a bit low imo. and dont be afraid to use white for your highlights. in cases where the image is as small as this, its good with some contrast.
