Title: Little animation
Post by: Igor on Sun 28/03/2004 13:26:34
I'm just working on some little 3 sec. animations and i'm posting first one here (it's not colored and there's no sound yet)- it's 120 kb.
Since i was really enjoying working on this year's new year's Flash greeting card, i decided to make those little anims in the same style (even better, since i must finish them really fast and this style is quick to animate).

What do you think?

EDIT- i added the girl infront of the smoke... i think it works better this way.

That's cool, but it would probably be EVEN better when it has sound and color. Interesting style though...

Very, very smooth. I love the amount of detail you put into your animation. The hair, the expression on her face, the way her arm swings when she opens the oven. It's fantastic!

Thats a good piece of animation!

It reminds me of the red bull advert :P

lovely. But I don't like that "shaking outlines" style. Reminds me one extremely idiotic cartoon... "Ed, Edd & Eddy" was it?

Thank you everyone for your comments so far!

Zor- sure, this is still work in progress. I'll color animations in the end.

InCreator- really? I always kinda liked Ed, Edd and Eddy cartoons.
The main advantage of this style is, that it's a complete joy to work on (and quite fast- that's the main reason i chose to use it for those animations. I have around 4 days to finish 8 such short animations). Clean lines might look more fancy, but they take 5x more time to produce :)

Erwin, OSC, Green Man: thanks! :)

Yes, I remember that Ed and Eddie thingie, they're annoying and idiot... But Igor has used the "shacking lines" in a so much better way... I really like it and can't find any crit, just encourage to go on with the good stuff.

/me thumbs up

Well, I don't like Ed Edd and Eddy either, but that's got nothing to do with the style of animation. The cartoon itself is plain dumb and not even funny.

Igor has done it again...

Farlander- thanks!
Erwin- yeah, agree. I find animation in EEE quite good actually... what i don't like is its coloring. Very experimental, but it doesn't work in my opinion. It just sucks the life out of animations.
SteveMcCrea, Mr_Frisby, Aussie- thank you too for nice comments!

Loving it. I wished you would finish your website.
I also wished that kids-cartoons used more cute faces instead of scary ones.

but anyway. The rules of feedback say that you'll never learn anything if you only get positive responce.
It's like the time between the open door and smoke take to long. The door has already opened when the smoke apears. But what do I know, maybe this was you intension in the first place. Or it could look less funny.

Yeah, more feedback... Really nice Igor.
And I think I liked EEE, but that was a long time ago, I havent watched CN in years, tho i wish i could  ::)

So Igor, you made this on a paper then scanned it, or how?
