Title: Lizard like creature
Post by: Edwin Xie on Sun 03/10/2004 07:50:35
So here is the picture I want you to C&C on:

Meh, I forgot the tail and the picture may appear transparent with some outlines. How does this look? You may want to straighten some parts. ;)

the picture looks very squre. Try to smoothen some curves.
the legs aren't positioned Ok.
And it dosn't realy look like a lizard. Try to make a big lizard like mouth. Like with yoshi or like
with lizard from spider man. Something like this I mean http://www.marvel.com/toybiz/spiderman/xtras/classic_lizard.jpg

I't seems like a very rough sketch to me, bu maybe it's your style? Otherwise I would recommend looking at some anatomy pictures to get the proportions right. I find it a little disturbing that his arms and legs come in couples of one thin short, and one thick long.

The picture is also quite large for such a simple image. Why don't you cut off some of the blank parts to shrink the image a bit?

Now to my main crit: Loose the cameltoe!!!Ã,  ;D

THATS CRAP! You need to hire an artist or hand in your crayon.

Grow up SQ4.5, he has asked for help and your rude comment is no help at all. We're here to help people improve their picture / skills not to put people down.

Regarding the picture: The feet need to be at a different angle/position, he looks as if he is standing tip toe. The two legs are different widths and make him look quite irregular.

Probably best to draw a smaller version, as this character would be too big, even for 800x600 and try correct as many things as possible

Don't listen to them! They are just jelous of your drawing skills! If I were you, I wouldn't change a single thing!
Good luck!

:o This thing is actually over 1000 pixels wide and tall, gotta crop it.  I know it looks squarish becase I had to redraw it using the line tool.....

Ok, so now you have replied to your own thread, stating the obvious. Why not just do it?

It's far too much white in that picture, and it's also way too big, considering how un-detailed it is

Edwin Xie, could you please replace my picture with yours?
that way it would help the others very much

"Archibald" whoever you are, create an account and use that to post comments in the future.

All this spontaneous praise is rather suspicious, and also quite irrelevant. This forum is about c&c, not ass-licking.

In fact, I've grown pretty tired of this whole thread. There hasn't been any progress at all, which is quite remarkable considering the circumstances. If Edwin wants to pursue his artistic dreams, I suggest he puts a bit more efforts in his presentation next time.
