Title: Looking for a tutorial

   I'm looking for a good tutorial about making backgrounds like the monkey island style.

youre going to need to specify, there were 4 different styles, and then within them there are ones with many colors or just 256 colors and the like.

I'm convinced the best way to mimic or even just to learn from a style is to study the specific backgrounds thoroughly...Carefully examine how sudden techniques or effects are accomplished...
