Title: Main Character concept sprite, C&C?

Character's named Percy Stronghand, the washed-up lead singer of an 80's hair band. This is pretty much my first time spriting from scratch, so any comments or criticism on how to go about this would be a lot of help.

EDIT: Cleaned up some/most/all of the blocky pixels. I'm going through other sprites of mine and trying to fix them up what with perspective and all. And yeah, the black outlines are intentional, the game's intended to be very cartoony and comical. I should probably have held off on posting until I'd finished the rest of the band, though. :P (http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4650/percystronghand3xd6.png)

There are generally two things that people are going to point out.

The first one is not to have black outlines, but using darker colors as outlines. In my opinion that depends somewhat about the game you are making. For example, if you are aiming for a comical style, black outlines could suit you well. Here is anyhow another version:

The other thing is that you should remove so called double pixels. If the game is going to be lo-res (like most our games are) then double pixels make lines look blocky.

Other than that, I think that your character is lovely. Good work. :)

I think it's a good sprite. Only thing that seems a bit off to me is the hand. Maybe it should be a little longer.
