Sorry to carry on with off-topic, but I understood what Buckethead sain in the same way as dkh did (not "insulting", but rather being astonished or something.)

And so, as I read your post first time, Nacho, to be honest, I was a bit confused myself. :)

Nacho

Sorry to be off topic again... Prog id going to have work with this.  ;)

Ok... One thing is not liking the edits... That' s licit. You can even post about it... but in a possitive way. I still think Buckethead was negative, but if he really meant what you said he meant, I won' t hesitate to make a public apologise.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Nikolas

Even better, make a "sorry thread". We haven't had one of those for quite a long time. :D

Now Progz can delete all the off-topic posts, including mine of course... Just couldn't help it... :p

I think Buckethead meant that he thought the painting was great until Loominous edited it. Then it was more than great, right?

exactly, I didn't mean to put anyone down or something.

Nacho

Then, as said, I must apology. Sorry mr. Buckethead. As this has been provoqued by a missunderstood, I hope that nothing of what I said is going to be taken into consideration. ;)

The main principle told to people participating in brainstorms is "hey, never criticise something a member of the brainstorm says!" That could chop the creativity of the people involved for fear of pissing it off in front of the other members, and brilliant ideas could never be exposed.

You do realise this brainstorm was cut because of this post, not the one before.

Now I find it a bit sad I haven't been able to talk to Ildu at #AGS because of my absence, but I would have quite a lot to tell him about this. Basically because I claim to be familiar to his art, and then because I have experience of pre-teens, go figure, by work, but whatever. Ildu, check back on you after christmas eh? I love the picture though, the original one I mean, not much to be changed there as far as you're decided not to make it 'that' realistic. Only quick thing, to me it still seems as if it was partly cartoon, partly realisticistic, if you know what I mean. All areas don't match, I bet you'll notice this too after a while.

Well, I finally got on this after 6 months of downtime. Back then I was sincerely going to work on it, but it kinda slipped away. Then I got a job, and then another, and I've been busy ever since.

Coming back I was surprised how crappy the portrait looks in hindsight, so I had to do something :D. It took me a few hours to revamp and I'm happy with the outcome. There's still stuff to fix, especially with the hair, but I'm gonna let this brew again. Hopefully I can move on to other painted work.

Thanks to Loom and Mash and others who helped out. I'm probably gonna do some more painterly stuff soon, so I'll just post them here.

I don't really like deleting posts because people who post here are 'supposed' to be mature enough to know when -- and when not -- to post.  Just stay on the topic of the piece itself and everything will be fine.  Save the personal attacks and issues for elsewhere, thanks.

That looks EXTRAODINARY! Now I'm jealous.
