I've just made this sprite and I would like some C&C on it! Maybe even paintovers...
This guy is supposed to be the EGO in the new game I'm working on.
The game takes place in some sort of twisted fantasy world like Lord of the Ring on drugs.Ã, Well, I haven't really figured the entire plot yet...
EDIT:
Thanks for all the great c&c!
I've changed this guy a little!
Sorry to all you wierd-nose-hateers, but the nose stays!
So does the sneakers. It was supposed to be funny and it fits the style I'd like to use for this game.

On the backview: it's supposed to look like you strap the armor on like a bra.
Major thanks to InCreator for his paintover. As you see I stole your idea...
Your pal
Niels
Looks good, no real suggestions, though you may want to add more detail to the armour... maybe add some more pieces to it as well (arms,etc.). He has a lot of character, I like it.
Woah, I've developed x-ray vision... I can see his belly button through the armourÃ, ;D :P
j/k I like it a lot. Maybe the head on the front view needs to be changed a bit but I like the way he's looking so far.
nice i agree it has alot of character and i also agree the armour needs more detail to make it more like armour, add some scratches and dents.
On the back view he has an increadble thin head( from just below the hair line) i don't know if that is what you want but it looks strange maybe fatten it up abit,
i love the shading on it

Bah... excuse me but I don't see the nose correct... One thing is to make it cartoony and the other make him an elephant... BTW, you decide, man...
The nose isnt stylised, it just looks ridiculous. You also need to work on his feet on the shot of behind, as it appears they're still facing forward.
No, the nose is stylized.
If that's armor I recommend looking at pictures of armor to at least get some shine on it and rework the back view armor
also on the back view, try adding his head to the top of his neck, at the moment it looks like a stalk with hair on it, by adding a little fatness to the top of the neck where the jaw and head would be should help a big
his side view arms don't really look relaxed like his front view arms are also
eric
his butt looks weird, it's as if he would have his pants stuck up his... well, you understand :D
Looks like he's wearing sneakers. Give him leather or iron boots instead.
Head looks wrong, unless it isn't a part of story where character left his head between two colliding trains. On side view, head has some shape, but front/back views show his head very flat And the neck is not as wide as on side view, which seems weird, because neck is in most cases cylindrical (sp?) part of body..Ã, Try to fix it.
This nose, I suggest to consider to overlook and think of it. Many people will hate it, including me. It's just so... irritating.
Especially, if this will be a player character.
The way you shade and choose colors is superb. Just add some shine to armor and draw out the stocmach and chest parts.
This is a quick and cheap edit, to give you some hint which way to go.

Nooo, the nose is great! Just think how it will flap around when he will walk :) Different is good.
medieval is the last thing that pops up in my head when I see that character, so I suggest either the title or the character be changed :)

Well I can't speak for Andail, but the first thing that comes to mind when I think Medieval are red sneakers!! ;D

- gave him more medieval attire (boots, gauntlets, shoulders, armour)
I might suggest lowering the ammount of anti-aliasing you've got in there.Ã, If you're going to use this character in a game, thus he'll be animated, that ammount of blending will be a bear to make look right!Ã, But less shading is my thing ... go with what you like ;)
Hope it helps!
I think the sneakers fit because he says:
"The game takes place in some sort of twisted fantasy world like Lord of the Ring on drugs."
So they might be there on purpose
I like the sneakers, it has a Mark Twain feel to it.
check out the first post.
This was a mistake!
He looks like a ninja turtle now, perfect for the druggy look
Cool, now he needs an armor codpiece. In case he plays baseball or something, the family jewels will be secure.
Unless of course they get hit with an evil monk's warhammer.
Wouldn't "Crushed Armor Codpieces" be a great name for a rock band?
I like the concept here - it has alot of potential - the far out nose intrueges me, if you could make it fit (so that there is a similar theme throughout the game) it might work well.

I second the codpiece idea. I think it would add a lot to the character's comedic value, since that seems to be what you might be going for.
I added my first background and the new dude to the first post...
C&C would be very nice!
thanks
